Spain’s Employment Status
What about Spain?
In early 2024, Spain saw its highest employment rate ever at 65.7%, with 74.6% of people working or looking for work, however, challenges still persist:
1. Unemployment:
At 11.7%, Spain has the highest unemployment rate in EU. Though it is expected to decrease to 11.1% by 2025, progress is slower than in recent years.
2. Inclusivity Focus:
New policies now target diverse groups, reflecting a focus on inclusivity. The effectiveness of these measures will shape future opportunities.
3. Slower Economic Growth:
GDP growth is expected to moderate to 1.8% in 2024 and 2% in 2025, hence businesses must innovate to sustain job creation and support employees in a shifting economy.
