XTalentPro at Barcelona International Community Day 2024: Connecting with Global Talent and Opportunities

On September 28, XTalentPro had the pleasure of attending the 11th Barcelona International Community Day, organized by Barcelona International Welcome at the beautiful Museu Marítim de Barcelona. The day started with lovely weather, setting the perfect tone for an inspiring and productive event filled with incredible networking opportunities and valuable insights.

The event brought together Barcelona’s vibrant international talent ecosystem, with companies, organizations, and associations showcasing the future of recruitment and innovation. We had the chance to engage with inspiring women-led groups like the Barcelona Women’s Network and PWN Barcelona, discovering exciting opportunities for collaboration, especially in promoting women in the digital sector.

Barcelona continues to impress as a global talent hub, ranking #8 among the world’s most attractive cities for talent (BGG 2024), and being the only European city with two top 10 business schools (Financial Times 2024). Even more inspiring, 1/3 of Barcelona’s digital professionals are women, further reflecting the city’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.

We had the opportunity to attend several insightful sessions at the event. They covered important topics such as the complexities of taxes in Spain, the growing digital talent pool within Barcelona’s thriving tech hubs, and opportunities for startups and entrepreneurs seeking funding. Barcelona continues to lead in fostering entrepreneurship, and the statistics speak volumes. According to ACCIÓ 2023, 16% of startup founders in Barcelona are international, with approximately 2,318 startups and an impressive €4.87 billion in investments in 2019 – 2023. Additionally, Startup Genome’s 2023 report ranks Barcelona #4 among the top 10 emerging startup ecosystems worldwide.

As highlighted in the Barcelona Green Deal report, the city is poised to become even more resilient, sustainable, and open to talent, investment, and global opportunities. According to the Startup Heatmap Europe 2023, Barcelona holds its position as the third most favored city for founders in Europe.

For XTalentPro, this event reinforced Barcelona’s potential as a hub for recruitment and business growth. We’re excited to apply the knowledge and connections we’ve gained to help our clients attract top talent and drive sustainable growth in the digital and entertainment sectors.

A big thank you to the local administration for organizing such a valuable and inspiring event!
